Costs payable in cash on the day: $5 KSP-members/$12 non-members

FIRST MEETING FOR 2025 - 1 February 2025

Non-fiction writing covers a broad range of subjects spanning from biographies, newspaper articles, ghost-writing, letters, anecdotes, speeches and historical writing.

 

This group explores the skills needed to tackle non-fiction writing projects, with topics covered such as:

  • developing your ideas

  • writing commercially

  • writing for the internet

  • the children's and youth market

  • research and interviews

  • selling your work or writing for profit

  • editing

  • polishing

  • promoting and marketing your writing

  • copyright and plagiarism

  • constructive critiquing

  • freelance writing, and

  • creative non-fiction.

 

Peer feedback is provided with the aim of improving work to publication standard. Members of this group support one another in their goals for individual writing projects, and also publish an annual anthology of work.
