KSP is Out of Lockdown

Thanks to the government's easing of COVID-19 restrictions, the KSP Writers' Centre team are pleased to announce that our doors are back open again! Staff are in the office Monday through Friday from 10am-2pm (unless unwell), and most of KSP's activities are back on track.

In this new coronavirus world, the Centre premises now has a 13-person limit, and a BYO mug policy for tea and coffee (complimentary supplies still provided by KSP). You'll also notice our writing room looks a little different, with tables and chairs spaced to adhere with social distancing requirements.

For your safety and hygiene, we have plenty of sanitiser and disinfectant wipes on hand, and have increased the frequency and thoroughness of cleaning.

What's Happening at KSP?

Writing Groups. Most of KSP's writing groups are back to meeting in person at the Centre - please check the KSP website for details.

Retreats. KSP's three beautiful self-contained cabins are once again available for hire.

Workshops. We have workshops planned in July, October and September, as well as a school holiday workshop in October for the young writer community. Advance bookings are required.

Spring Story Retreat with Laurie Steed. We have just one position left for this intensive four-day mentored writing retreat to be held in September; first in, first served! For WA-based writers only.

Residencies. Applications for KSP's 2021 salaried program are now being received, with deadlines in June, July and August.

Fellowships. Applications for KSP's 2021 subsidised program will open in July and close on 13 September.

Competitions. KSP's national 2020 Short Fiction and Poetry competitions are open for entries, closing in September and October. Free for youth to enter.

We warmly thank you all for your support over this period, and look forward to seeing you back once again at the Centre. Stay safe, and keep writing.
